Job Description - Associate/Senior Associate, Specialist, Business System, Consumer Banking

Business Function

DBS Consumer Banking provides customers with a full range of cards and loans products and services. This role is crucial in reimagining and optimizing the end-to-end customer and employee journeys for these products, driving successful Operation Model Transformation (OMT) initiatives and responding to growing demands for process transformation and platform uplift from various business and support units.

Responsibilities

Initiative / Enhancement Support
  • Provide support for, and potentially lead, projects and enhancements related to card and unsecured loan products, ensuring adherence to internal guidelines and external regulations.
  • Act as a business analyst, working closely with stakeholders to understand both business and technical requirements, and collaborate with Technology teams to develop optimal solutions.
  • Foster strong collaboration with business, operations, technology units, and system vendors to ensure successful project rollouts and seamless end-to-end process flows, supported by comprehensive operational support.
  • Lead and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including functional and regression testing, to ensure alignment with solution design and expected system behavior.
  • Support live verification activities during office or non-office hours for system-related changes and implementations.
System Operation Support
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of critical system documentation, such as user manuals, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide support for parameter change requests and system access reviews.
  • Investigate and resolve production incidents in collaboration with system teams, ensuring resolution within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Deliver timely responses and solutions to frontline users, including Call Center and Customer Feedback Management, to effectively address customer inquiries and incidents.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with card and unsecured loan processes, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and collaboration with stakeholders to identify system improvement opportunities and propose innovative solutions.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Information System, Management Information System, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience within the financial industry, with a focus on credit card and/or unsecured loan operations and system support.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of regulatory requirements, banking compliance, processes, and controls pertinent to card and unsecured loan products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to understand complex system processes and architecture.
  • A proactive team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Possess a can-do attitude, be self-motivated, and capable of adapting to changing priorities and working effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of agile methodologies, with demonstrated experience working in an agile environment.
  • Solid understanding of business analysis techniques, including the ability to gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in conducting UAT, encompassing test planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and effectively take on different roles as needed.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese).
  • Proficiency in using project management tools, issue tracking systems, and collaboration platforms. Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence is an advantage.
