Audit Director, Insurance (Regional Office)

Our client is a regional insurer, looking for an experienced audit professional to lead a team to deliver audit and advisory engagements for Group Office functions and different entities within the Group. Welcome candidates (with relevant background) who are resident outside of Hong Kong and willing to relocate to the city.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead a team of five to six in delivery of audit and advisory engagements for Group Office functions and entities in Reinsurance, Investment, Shared Service Centres and Technology
• Promote use of data analytics and visualisation in audit engagements, continuous business reviews and annual risk assessment
• Develop and direct the preparation of annual audit plan and schedules, Audit Committee reports, monthly country reports and other regional and local reporting requirements
• Share developments in controls, risks and issues with country managers of Internal Audit to develop effective relationship

• Direct a team to deliver the departmental goals and provide timely and constructive feedback & support to team members

Job requirements:

• Qualified CPA, CIA, or CISA with minimum of 12 years of experience in insurance, financial or a related industry, recent years must be in insurance sector (preferably in regional offices)
• Candidates with less experienced but outstanding track record will be considered as Associate Director
• Sound knowledge with audit tools and software (e.g. TeamMate, ACL, MS Office)
• Thorough understanding of insurance operations, industry practices and legislative/regulatory requirements
• Strong leadership, project management and people developments skills
• Good command of both oral and written English
