Job Description

Handle accounting entries for the firm's proprietary trading activities and perform the associated reconciliations.
Support the month-end closing cycle, including tasks related to consolidation and group reporting.
Compile regular financial reports for Head Office, PRC regulators, and internal management, providing insights for monitoring and analysis.
Assist with financial due diligence work and contribute to system upgrades or enhancements related to the finance function.
Participate in evaluating the financial, tax, and structural implications of group initiatives and policy changes.
Review existing processes and recommend improvements to strengthen workflow efficiency and overall operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with various internal teams to facilitate business initiatives and streamline procedures.
Coordinate with both internal and external auditors on accounting, control, and audit-related matters.
Carry out additional tasks or projects as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Holder of a CPA or equivalent professional qualification, with approximately 5-8 years of experience gained from a securities firm or a Big 4 environment.
Solid knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS and strong familiarity with financial instruments used in proprietary trading; experience in valuation is an added advantage.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
A collaborative team player who is detail-oriented, proactive, resilient under pressure, and equipped with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
