AVP / Manager, Credit Control (Remedial & Portfolio Management)

Responsibilities:

• Assess the credit profile to evaluate the viability of the client as well as devising and implementing the account strategy of problem accounts
• Handle the debt restructuring & remedial actions for classified accounts including negotiation with client/other creditors, liaise with external parties for taking legal action, liquidation of collateral and participation in bankers meeting
• Collaborate with business units to formulate account strategy and to monitor whether remedial action had been taken properly and timely
• Monitor the trend of problem accounts' expected credit loss and report the change in provision levels
• Follow up on SFGS loan default claims and take appropriate recovery action
• Participate in any other internal control initiatives / tasks

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Risk Management, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related disciplines, professional qualification of ECF-CRM is preferred
• At least 5-7 years of solid experience in commercial credit and risk management, special assets and credit monitoring functions in banking industry
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements and banking practices on credit risk management
• Experience in dealing with regulators and auditors an advantage
• Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
• Self-motivated with strong risk control sense
• Effective communication, interpersonal and organization skills
