AVP, Sanctions Compliance - Legal & Compliance Department

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, implement, and continuously review sanctions policies and procedures
2. Identify, assess, monitor, and report on the Bank's sanctions risks, proposing control measures and preparing timely reports
3. Provide sanctions compliance consultations, issue risk advisories, conduct investigations, and perform risk screenings, while staying up-to-date with relevant legal and regulatory changes
4. Participate in responding to major sanctions compliance incidents and ensure prompt reporting
5. Prepare and submit sanctions compliance reports to senior management and head office
6. Organize and facilitate bank-wide sanctions compliance training
7. Support the development of the compliance information system

Requirements:

1. Full Time Degree holder with at least 5 years’ relevant AML/CFT and Sanctions compliance experience acquired from banking industry
2. Strong in-depth knowledge of US, EU, and UN Sanctions regimes to ensure awareness and accurate application of relevant regulatory requirements
3. Extensive experience dealing with financial crimes, covering AML, customer due diligence (CDD), fraud prevention, and sanctions compliance risk management processes
4. Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and project management skills.
5. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
6. Relevant qualification in AML or Sanctions (e.g. AAMLP, CAMLP, CAMS or CGSS) is preferred
7. Proficient in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English
