Job Description - AVP/ VP, Sales (HNW/ Family Office), Asset Management

About the Firm

Our client is a leading, award-winning asset management firm, with a diverse product suite ranging from stable Money Market Funds and Fixed Income to high-alpha Equity Hedge Funds, they have seen rapid growth and have reach $13 billion USD AUM . To support their expansion, they are seeking a high-caliber Sales professional to spearhead their Hedge Fund distribution across the HK and Mainland China markets.

The Role

They are looking for a sophisticated Sales professional who can leverage their existing deep-rooted relationships to drive growth, specifically for their Equity Long Biased strategy.

  1. Position: AVP / VP (Title commensurate with experience and proven track record)
  2. Reporting to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
  3. Target Segments: Primary focus on Multi-Family Offices (MFOs), Single Family Offices (SFOs), and Ultra-High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI).
  4. Product Versatility: While Equities is the priority, you will have the full toolkit of the firm’s Fixed Income and Money Market products to offer a total solution to your clients.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Capital Raising: Proactively hunt and secure new AUM from a personal network of Family Offices and HNW clients.
  2. Advisory-Led Sales: Use a "consultative" approach to move clients into high-alpha strategies, explaining market volatility and long-term equity performance cycles.
  3. Regional Connectivity: Work closely with the CMO to align sales strategies across the HK and China.
  4. Portfolio Manager Partnership: Act as the bridge between our Lead Equity PM and your clients, translating complex market views into actionable investment insights.
Ideal Candidate Profile

We are specifically looking for candidates from the following backgrounds:

  1. Private Banking: Senior RMs with a strong track record of moving AUM to high-conviction equity products.
  2. Multi-Family Office / EAM: Business development professionals who understand the specific needs of the Family Office ecosystem.
  3. Securities Firm: Sales leaders with a heavy focus on HNW/UHNW brokerage or advisory.

Requirements:

  1. 5–10 years of experience in a front-office, client-facing role within the HK/China region.
  2. Deep Network: An active, verifiable "book" or network within the HNW and Family Office space.
  3. Equity Fluency: You must be able to speak confidently about Equity Long Biased strategies, risk management, and market cycles.
  4. Independence: Proven ability to work as an "independent contributor" who can eventually take on a Director title based on performance.
  5. Languages: Business fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is highly preferred to cover the Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen expansion.
