Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage shipping operations performance and ship schedules planning.
- Coordinate and monitor primary ship movement and fleet operational activities in port and at sea with team members.
- Manage issues arising from cargo operations, customs clearance and servicing client accounts.
- Responsible for port disbursement account calculation and analyze reports on ship agency activities.
- Act as an interface with key clients and other external bodies, mange contracts and maintain close relationships with business customers, suppliers and ship captains.
- Manage Ship Agency corporate, management administrative and finance functions including authorization and signatories.
- Manage compliance to risk management frameworks, policies and processes
- Keep abreast of updates in regulatory requirements relating to cargo clearance and documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Maritime / Logistics Management or related disciplines
- Minimum 8 years of ship agency experience in which 4 years at supervisory level
- In-depth knowledge in the Hong Kong Shipping Ordinance and shipping agency business
- Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese and Mandarin
- Able to work odd hours including weekends and public holidays, willing to travel overseas
- Computer literate with particular emphasis on MS Word/Excel and Outlook
- Good interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain work relationship with different stakeholders
- Strong leadership skill, leading the team effectively
