Job Description - Business Development Manager/Director

Location: Hong Kong (with travel to regional markets)

Recognized for our expertise in leveraging advanced AI-powered technologies and human analytical capabilities, we empower businesses to make informed decisions and take smart actions. We are now looking to expand our regional footprint and are seeking a talented Business Development Manager/Director to join our team.

 

Role and Responsibilities:

As the Business Development Manager/Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving Social Power's growth in Hong Kong and its expansion into new regional markets. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities in regional markets, such as Southeast Asia, East Asia, and/or South Asia.

• Developing and executing targeted sales and marketing strategies to penetrate new markets and acquire new clients.

• Identifying and negotiating strategic sales partnerships with regional resellers, local agencies, or other complementary service providers to expand our distribution channels.

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers, industry influencers, and potential partners in the region.

• Presenting Social Power's comprehensive suite of social listening and data analytics solutions to prospective clients, highlighting their unique value proposition.

• Collaborating with the delivery team to ensure seamless onboarding and successful implementation of solutions for new regional clients.

• Providing regular updates on market trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback to the leadership team.

• Contributing to the continuous improvement of Social Power's regional go-to-market approach and product offerings.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales roles, preferably in the market research, data analytics, or digital marketing industries.

• Strong understanding of the social media landscape, data analytics, and emerging trends in the Asia-Pacific region.

• Proven track record of successfully expanding businesses into new regional markets.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with C-suite executives.

• Fluency in English is highly desirable.

• Willingness to travel extensively within the region to build relationships and drive business growth.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or information technology.
