Buy-Side - Trade Support

A growing US Quant trading firm is in search of a committed Trade Support Associate for their Hong Kong office. In this critical role, you will assist traders and ensure that trading operations are executed with precision, efficiency, and control.

Primary Duties:

• Reconcile trades, transactions, and positions across Asian trading activities.
• Prepare and submit delivery instructions for proprietary trading operations.
• Maintain and update positions, P&L, and real-time data for the trading desk.
• Support compliance with regulatory and exchange standards in operational processes.
• Utilize various trading tools under the direction of traders, including algorithmic solutions when needed.
• Manage updates to trading systems, proprietary applications, and Excel-based tools.
• Interact with traders, brokers, dealers/counterparties, clearing institutions, and internal teams.
• Provide execution support, reporting, and resolve post-trade issues.
• Engage in automation initiatives and process improvement projects.
• Operate effectively on the trading floor while managing time-sensitive situations calmly.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a trading operations or middle office role ideally from a hedge fund or investment bank
• Strong technical capabilities, particularly in Excel; familiarity with Python or SQL is a strong advantage.
• Interest in using technology to automate and improve front-office workflows.
• Knowledge of equities and equity derivatives, or a solid foundation and eagerness to learn.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in English plus a Cantonese and/or Mandarin
