To develop and promote injury management strategies (internally and externally), focusing on early injury recover, durable return to work and job placement to enable cost effective claims management to be achieved. These strategies will enable QBE to have a point of differentiation in the Employee Compensation market.
Responsibilities: - We are currently recruiting for a new and exciting role within our Employee Compensation portfolio. This position requires a person that has excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a background in allied health. We are looking for an individual that can provide workplace injury management services to clients within a wide ranging number of industries with a focus on early and durable return to work.
- Provide workplace injury management services to clients within a wide range of industries with a focus on early and durable return to work.
- Responsible for assessing policy, statutory and common law liabilities.
- Proactively handle employee compensation claims and ensure legitimate claims are paid in accordance with policy conditions within written authority levels.
- Attend meetings with clients and advise clients on cost effective claims management, focusing on early injury recovery and return to work.
- Develop and maintain good client relationships with the insured, agents, service providers and internal stakeholders.

Requirements: - Medical or allied health knowledge (i.e., physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nurses, etc.).
- Working experience in health, preferably in workplace rehabilitation and employee compensation insurance will be an advantage.
- Possession of insurance qualifications with working experience in general insurance industry will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of employee compensation insurance and associated ordinance or occupational health & safety ordinance is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Cantonese.
- Good interpersonal, negotiation, mediation and customer service skills.
- Flexible, socially confident and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
