Job Description - Channel and Editorial Senior Advisor
Purpose
The Channel and Editorial Senior Advisor is responsible for providing direct support for content creation, editing, publishing, and day-to-day operational activities. As well as planning, executing, and optimising Linklaters' social media activities. Working with the Asia Communications Manager and the global Channel and Editorial Lead, you set the strategy, shape policy and share best practice regarding social media.
You develop and distribute engaging content for the firm's official social channels, ensuring that posts are timely, brand-aligned, and consistent with wider communications goals.
You manage the day-to-day scheduling, monitoring, and performance tracking of all social media activities, responding to engagement opportunities and supporting real-time campaigns. Through analytics and benchmarking, you measure impact and refine strategies to maximise engagement, reach, and reputation.
Your key responsibilities
Draft, edit, and review digital content (including web copy, news updates, internal announcements, and multimedia materials) for intranet, newsletters, and other channels.
Support the management and enforcement of content calendars, production schedules, and approvals.
Assist with the commissioning and coordination of multimedia content, liaising with internal teams and external vendors as needed.
Work closely with the Business Development and Marketing teams to develop, schedule, and publish social media content across the firm's channels (such as LinkedIn and WeChat), in line with editorial calendars and campaign plans.
Create or repurpose content for social platforms (e.g., posts, images, videos, infographics).
Monitor social media platforms for engagement, proactively managing comments, questions, and relevant opportunities, in accordance with brand and risk guidelines.
Monitor and report on content performance using digital analytics tools; support regular data reporting to inform decision making.
Track, measure, and report on social media metrics; provide actionable insights to optimise strategy and content.
Work closely with colleagues in the wider communications function to align social activity with firm campaigns and business priorities.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of social media best practice, platform developments, and emerging trends; recommend new approaches to maximise impact.
Support training or coaching for staff in social media best practice.
Ensure compliance with firm policies, risk controls, and approval processes.
Help maintain and update editorial best practice documentation and content guidelines.
Respond to requests for editorial guidance or support from contributors.
Proactively review and identify areas for editorial improvement across digital channels.
Your experience
Experience in content creation, editorial support, or digital publishing, preferably in a large or professional setting.
Good working knowledge of editorial processes, content management systems, and digital communications platforms.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content requests.
Experience managing professional social media channels, preferably within a corporate or professional services context.
Familiarity with digital analytics tools and reporting, proficiency in using social media scheduling, monitoring, and analytics tools.
Strong track record of producing engaging, high-quality content for social media.
Understanding of reputation management, social channel risk, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
A suitable degree or experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written skills in English and Mandarin.

The Team
Linklaters' Communications & Corporate Affairs team manages Linklaters' channel communications, ensuring timely, effective, and high-quality content reaches the firm's internal and external audiences. The team is responsible for the optimisation of platforms, development of multimedia materials, and provision of analytics that inform firmwide communications strategy. By embedding best practice and operational rigour, the team supports the firm's narrative and priorities, delivering engaging content and driving measurable impact across all channels.
