Chemical Project Engineer (Play Doh)

Innovation Development Drive the development of new segments for compounds and assess their applications and play patterns with a consumer focus. Ensure all innovations comply with global safety requirements and regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring new ideas to the market. Resilience Planning Enable and drive resilience plans to qualify new suppliers in collaboration with Sourcing and QA partners for Asia production. Develop strategies to ensure the continuous supply of materials and components. Chemical Assessment Conduct chemical assessments on proprietary formulas from inventors or partners for new applications. Evaluate the safety, efficacy, and commercial viability of new chemical formulations. Collaboration and Communication Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project goals are met. Facilitate effective communication between teams to drive project success. Reporting This role will be reported to the Engineering Manager. Occasional travel to Asia factories and labs is needed. Degree holder in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Studies, Food Science, or a related field. 3 years of experience in product development focusing on chemical assessment, material research, or solid experience in R&D adoption into commercial needs. Master's degree is an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of global safety standards and regulations, such as FDA/ EN71/ ASTM etc.
