Chief Information Officer

Our client, a well-established institution, is seeking a dynamic and experienced technology leader to take on the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO). This position will oversee the overall management and strategic direction of the Information Technology function.

Reporting to senior leadership, the CIO will play a critical role in shaping and delivering IT strategy to support organisational growth, digital transformation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Provide strategic IT advisory to senior leadership, supporting organisational objectives across operations and service delivery
• Develop and execute IT strategies, policies, budgets, and workforce plans aligned with business goals, with a strong focus on digital transformation and AI adoption
• Lead the planning, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise systems
• Oversee IT infrastructure, security, and operations, while driving process improvements and automation initiatives
• Enhance the quality and responsiveness of IT services across the organisation
• Establish and maintain robust IT governance, risk management, and security frameworks
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and drive innovation initiatives, including smart and sustainable technology adoption
• Undertake additional responsibilities as required by senior management

Required Skills for the Role:

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, AI, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally within large, complex organisations
• Strong track record in IT strategy development, transformation, and organisational change
• Extensive experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and systems
• Good understanding of emerging technologies, including AI and digital innovation trends
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
• Strong analytical thinking with a strategic mindset
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Cantonese, Putonghua would be an added advantage.
