Job Description - Claims, Specialist

About the Role

Provide support and arrange training to agencies. Provide support and monitor the claims teams so as to ensure the claims teams in HK OPS effectively handle matters ranging from clerical support, claims processing, communication with different parties and service recovery which are in line with the Company and department goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Handle enquiries and complaints from customers, distribution channels, other departments and other insurance regulatory bodies and recommend for improvement plan
  • Assess, approve and communicate with distributional channels on claim decisions on a fair and just basis, offers flexible alternatives
  • Monitor the operation of HK Ops; the productivity, quality and efficiency by reviewing the performance log, audit reports and management reports in order to ensure consistent, accurate and efficient output
  • Co-ordinating with auditors/ reinsurers or participating in projects to meet business need
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Claims knowledge in a life insurance company
  • Preferable to have achieved FLMI and ALHC
  • Proficient communications and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
Others:
  • You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities
