Clerk of Works

We are looking for a Clerk of Works to supervise on site construction and liaise between contractors and employer for the new development project of Multi-Function Service Centre at Pokfulam PHAB Camp, 75 Pokfulam Reservoir Road, Hong Kong. The tentative employment period will be about 18 months with 15% gratuity payable on satisfactory completion of the contract. Expected contract commencement date to be early August 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine site inspections on demolition, structural, building and fitting out works.
• Check the contract compliance and quality of building materials and workmanship and prepare the site inspection report.
• Monitor site progress, safety and environmental measures.
• Attend workshops and meetings to coordinate consultant works and facilitate contractor works.
• Co-ordinate with different project consultants, project management consultant, architect, E&M consultant, structural consultant, contractors and employer, etc, to ensure smooth execution of the project.
• Liaise and co-ordinate with government departments and public utilities companies for Works on site.
• Report and help resolve any site matters and discrepancies.

Requirement:

1. Qualification:
   
   • A Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Building / Building Studies /Building Surveying / Architectural Studies / Civil / Structural /Geotechnical Engineering from university or technical institute, or equivalent; or
   • Passed the Final Part I Examination of the Institute of Clerk-of-Works of Great Britain; or
   • Passed the Associate Examination of the Chartered Institute of Building, or equivalent.
2. 5 years or above post-qualification experience in the work capacity of Assistant Clerk of Works, or equivalent (experience in sub-structure, site formation, piling are required)
3. Grade E or above in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent; and
4. Satisfying to work as TCP T3 under AP & RSE Steam specified in the prevailing Technical Memorandum for Supervision Plans and the Code of Practice for Site Supervision.
5. Candidate with previous experience of supervision on building services installation is preferrable but not essential.
