Stakeholder Engagement & Business Requirements (40% of role)
- Lead comprehensive stakeholder discovery sessions with marketing, sales, customer service, analytics, and executive teams
- Facilitate detailed requirements gathering workshops to understand current pain points and future data needs
- Document detailed functional requirements including business rules, data definitions, and success criteria
- Create requirement validation sessions and obtain formal business sign-offs before technical implementation
- Manage ongoing requirement changes and assess business impact throughout project lifecycle
- Develop user stories and acceptance criteria that clearly communicate business needs to technical teams
- Maintain requirements traceability matrix ensuring all business needs are addressed in technical solutions
Client Data Profiling & Quality Analysis (30% of role)
- Conduct client data profiling to understand current data landscape and quality issues
- Perform data quality assessments to identify gaps affecting business requirements
- Design matching and unmatching strategies based on business use case requirements
- Identify data patterns and anomalies that impact stakeholder objectives
- Present data profiling findings to stakeholders in business-friendly formats
Technical Team Collaboration & Coordination (30% of role)
- Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications that development teams can implement
- Participate in technical design sessions to ensure proposed solutions meet business requirements
- Coordinate with data engineering, architecture, and development teams on MDM platform implementation
- Review technical deliverables to ensure alignment with documented business requirements
- Facilitate regular sync meetings between business and technical teams throughout project lifecycle
- Manage technical requirement clarifications and ensure timely resolution of ambiguities
- Support user acceptance testing by coordinating business user involvement in technical validation
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management
- 8+ years of experience in business analysis with focus on data management or customer data projects
- Proven track record of stakeholder management across multiple business functions and organizational levels
- Expert-level requirements gathering skills including facilitation, interviewing, and documentation techniques
- Experience managing competing stakeholder priorities and achieving consensus on requirements
- Strong change management capabilities for handling evolving business requirements
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build consensus among diverse teams
Technical Collaboration Skills
- Experience working with technical teams on data management, MDM, or analytics projects
- Ability to translate between business and technical languages*and concepts
-*Understanding of agile/scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with technical concepts including data modeling, APIs, data integration, and system architecture
- Experience in technical requirement validation and user acceptance testing coordination
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality technical implementations
Domain Knowledge
- Customer/Client data domain expertise** including understanding of customer lifecycle, segmentation, and marketing use cases
-MDM platform familiarity (Informatica, Profisee, Stibo Systems) from a business user and requirements perspective
- Data quality and matching concepts with ability to define business rules and matching criteria
- Marketing technology stack understanding including CRM, marketing automation, and analytics platforms
- Regulatory compliance knowledge (GDPR, CCPA) as it relates to customer data requirements
- Familiar with AWS Cloud
Communication & Documentation Skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with ability to present to executives and technical teams
- Expert documentation skills for creating clear, comprehensive requirement specifications
- Meeting facilitation and workshop leadership experience with large, diverse groups
- Presentation skills for communicating complex requirements to various audiences
- Conflict resolution abilities for managing disagreements between stakeholders and technical teams
