Client Portfolio Advisory, Director - Global Fixed Income (Top Tier Buyside)

Top tier MNC with a long established track record currently looking for a SVP / Director - Client Portfolio Advisory to join the Hong Kong office and work closely with Senior Management globally.

Collaborates closely with investment teams, sales teams, and other internal stakeholders to advance business development, client servicing, and product development for targeted investment strategies. This position is dedicated to supporting ongoing expansion and client engagement within the APAC region.

Contribute to the firm’s substantial global public fixed income offerings—including high yield, investment grade, loans, emerging market debt, structured credit, and multi-strategy credit

1. Undertake extensive client engagement activity communicating on financial markets and specific strategies
2. Develop, maintain and prepare marketing and servicing materials for the team. This will include materials to highlight competitive advantages offerings and key trends across fixed income markets, pitch books, marketing collateral as well as scheduled and ad-hoc updates on financial markets and specific aspects of an investment strategy
3. Build and foster a network of successful working relationships across internal stakeholders, primarily within the sales, investment and product management teams
4. Collaborate with the various teams internally to review and provide strategy specific responses to RFPs/DDQs and respond in a timely manner to client/prospect requests
5. Stay abreast of market trends, APAC regulatory/product developments and competitor intelligence

Qualifications

1. At least 10 years of relevant work experience, ; investment management/advisory, or investment specialist/product strategist/client portfolio manager role
2. A passion for financial markets, macroeconomics, and proficiency in global fixed income/credit markets specifically
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
4. • Practical and results-oriented mindset, willing to go beyond defined responsibilities to ensure business success.
5. • Proactive communicator who takes initiative in engaging with front office and clients to foster business growth.
6. • Proven track record in capital raising, preferably with wealth management or asset management firms, in a fast-paced environment.
