Construction Manager/ Technical Manager/ Site Agent/ Sub Agent (Waterworks)

Ming Hing Waterworks Engineering Co. Ltd is a premium integrated waterworks engineering, technology and investment company. The Group principally engages in the provision of project management services, maintenance and construction works for civil engineering projects on waterworks & drainage, roads & highways and slope upgrading services in Hong Kong. Founded in 1967, the Group has grown to establish itself as a major waterworks engineering service provider in Hong Kong, accountable for ensuring dependable water supply to the community. 

Given increasing project work in Hong Kong and China, Ming Hing is inviting high calibre applicants for the following positions to join its present team of professionals. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead project teams to complete the projects on schedule, within budget and at a high level of quality; 
• Participate in the preparation of tender documents and technical submissions;
• Formulating and implementing different programs or management plans, such as risk management plan, emergency plan, etc;
• Responsible for contract administration;
• Ensure all company policies and plans are aligned to the broader group processes and systems;
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines;
• MHKIE or equivalent in Civil discipline with NEC experience for Construction Manager and Site Agent;
• For Construction Manager, Applicant should have at least 10 years post professional qualification experience in construction contract, among which at least 5 years in managing construction contracts as a main contractor’s Project Manager (or Construction Manager in an NEC contract). Also, shall have 1 year of proven experience as Construction Manager or Site Agent in the use of NEC contracts or be Accredited NEC3 or NEC4 TSC Service Manager or Accredited NEC3 or NEC4 ECC Project Manager;
• For Technical Manager, Applicant should have at least 3 years of experience in watermain improvement works;
• For Site Agent, Applicant should have at least 8 site experience after he attained the required academic qualification, among which at least 4 years’ experience in managing construction contracts as a main contractor’s Site Agent. Also, he shall have 1 year of proven experience as Site Agent in the use of NEC contracts or be Accredited NEC3 or NEC4 TSC Service Manager or Accredited NEC3 or NEC4 ECC Project Manager;
• For Sub Agent, Applicant should have 4 years’ site experience after he attained the required academic qualification; OR Diploma in civil engineering or in a branch of civil engineering appropriate to the nature of work included in the Contract, and have a minimum of 8 years’ site experience after he attained the required academic qualification;
• Previous working experience in waterworks and/or watermain installation is desired;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Cantonese;
• Immediately available is highly preferred.
