Contracts Manager

Contracts Manager | Building Contractor | Hong Kong

We're looking for an experienced QS or contracts professional to join an established Hong Kong building contractor as Contracts Manager. A strong Senior QS or Assistant Contracts Manager ready for the next step will also be considered.

The role

You'll oversee the commercial and contractual side of building projects, working closely with project teams and management to control costs, manage risk and protect project profitability.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing tender reviews, subcontract procurement and commercial negotiations.
• Overseeing budgets, cost reports, cash-flow forecasts and cost-to-complete assessments.
• Managing payments, variations, contractual notices, EOT and loss-and-expense claims.
• Leading main-contract and subcontract final-account negotiations.
• Guiding the QS team and resolving commercial issues with clients, consultants and subcontractors.

What we're looking for

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Solid Hong Kong building main-contractor experience, with responsibility for commercial delivery and QS-team supervision.
• A track record in procurement, cost control, claims and final-account settlements.
• Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to lead negotiations.
• Good communication skills in Cantonese and English.
• MRICS, MHKIS or equivalent professional qualification would be an advantage.
