Job Description - Controller (Human Resources, I.T. & Admin.)

Yan Oi Tong(YOT), registered as a charitable organization since 1977, it has become one of the six largest full-service charity groups in Hong Kong. Embracing the mission of "Caring for the Aged and the Young, Promoting Education and Nurturing Talents, Supporting the Disadvantaged and the Sick, Serving the Community with Sincerity". YOT delivers timely and comprehensive caring services in areas of social services, educational services, medical services, sports & recreational services, green projects and social enterprises to those in need in the community through operating over 170 service units in New Territories, Kowloon and Hong Kong Island.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and be accountable to the Board of Directors, the Controller (Human Resources, I.T. & Admin.) is a senior staff member and plays an integral role in the strategic planning of our organization. He/she is responsible for:

  • Overseeing the full spectrum of Human Resources, General Administration, I.T. and Engineering Management;
  • Formulating and developing corporate-wide strategies, policies and procedures to create a motivating, supporting and productive workforce;
  • Providing high-quality services and continuously improving and optimizing effectiveness and efficiency;
  • Reviewing and updating policy manuals in relevant fields, ensuring alignment with the organization’s current and future strategies;
  • Ensuring all activities are executed in a cost effective manner and complying with local laws/regulations and prevailing policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Human Resources Management / Business Administration / Property Management or related disciplines;
  • A minimum of 15 years’ post-qualification work experience, including 8 years at the senior management level, preferably in NGO or public services;
  • A proven track record in Large-Scale Building Project Management, holding a valid Property Management Practitioner (Tier 1 or 2) License and/or National Security Certificate and/or ICT professional competence is an advantage;
  • Strong leadership skills with a strategic mindset and a vision for staff development and staff relations;
  • Strong analytical skills, detail-minded with good business acumen, good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • Immediate available is highly preferred.
