Credit analyst - commercial banking

Experienced (3-6 years) credit analyst required for an international commercial bank. This role sits with the business and offers excellent career development potential.

Salary circa HKD 40,000 - HKD 45,000 per month + bonus + benefits

Role:

• • Conduct in-depth financial analysis of commercial banking clients, including financial statement reviews, cash flow analysis, and industry benchmarking.
  • Evaluate clients’ financials and construct credit proposals and risk assessments.
  • Work with Relationship Managers to structure credit solutions.
  • Work with the wider credit team to propose credit limits, formulate credit policies and assess clients’ credit profiles.
  • Create management reports on portfolio performance, concentration risks, and sector exposures.
  • Ensure all credit submissions comply with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk appetite frameworks.

Requirements:

• • 3–6 years of credit analyst experience with strong preference given to candidates who come from corporate or commercial banking.
  • Excellent understanding of trade financeproducts.
  • Formal credit analysis training preferred.
  • Sound Knowledge of Hong Kong’s legal and regulatory requirements, including HKMA and Basel regulations, and banking practices on credit risk management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or higher, in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline with CFA, ACCA, CPA or FRM qualifications an advantage.
