Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong focus on financial and operational data to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will analyze and interpret data to optimize Preface.ai’s business operations and financial performance. You will also play a vital role in supporting the CEO Office and Product Team by becoming an educator of educators in data and AI literacy that helps build internal capabilities and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Product team and wider company to gradually build and enhance our customer database capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze financial and operational data to support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.


• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into revenue streams, cost structures, and operational efficiency.


• Collaborate with finance & operation team to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.


• Translate complex data concepts into accessible learning materials and workshops that empower educators to leverage AI and data in their teaching practices.


• Support strategic decision-making by providing actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis.


• Work closely with the product team and other departments to gradually build, manage, and optimize the customer database infrastructure and capabilities.


• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant policies and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance or a related field.


• Proven experience in financial and operational data analysis, preferably within education, training industry preferred but not necessary .


• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or similar; experience with financial modeling is a plus.


• Experience or strong interest in database management and customer data platforms is desirable.


• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate and engage diverse audiences.


• Familiarity with AI concepts and digital transformation initiatives is highly desirable.


• Passion for education and technology, with a commitment to fostering data-driven decision-making and innovation.


• Humble team player prepared for a fast pace environment.


• Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with ambiguity and willing to learn.


• Fluent in English and Cantonese with excellent verbal communication skills.


• Experience working in a dynamic, high-growth environment is preferable.
