Data Compliance Manager

Responsibility

Develop, establish, and continuously optimize data protection compliance policies, processes, and tools; enhance the overall data protection compliance management system.
Monitor and interpret the latest laws, regulations, policy trends, and industry developments in the field of data protection; provide compliance advice and guidance to support market and product operations strategies.
Conduct data protection compliance risk assessments, audits, and inspections; oversee and ensure effective implementation of compliance rules.
Provide consultation and address overseas data protection compliance matters, incident response, dispute resolution, and complex cases, including cross-border data transfers and corporate data compliance governance.
Draft and review data compliance-related business agreements and legal documents; organize data protection compliance training, promote a compliance-oriented culture, and undertake other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Solid knowledge of data protection laws and regulations in China, Europe, and the US (including China's Personal Information Protection Law, Data Security Law, and the EU's General Data Protection Regulation [GDPR]); prior experience in privacy protection/data security or related projects is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience; excellent command of spoken and written English, with the ability to use English as a working language. Prior experience in multinational corporations or the telecommunications industry is an advantage.
Holders of professional certifications such as Legal Professional Qualification Certificate, CIPP, CIPT, CIPM, CISA, CISSP, or CISP are preferred.
Demonstrated strong legal research skills, with acute insight into policy and regulatory trends and robust analytical and judgment capabilities; ability to translate legal and regulatory requirements into practical business guidance based on industry experience.
Bachelor's degree or above in Law
