Deputy Team Head - VP- Management Reporting

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and analysis of management reports focused on Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), ensuring accurate financial insights for senior decision-making.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes, integrating FTP methodologies to optimize internal fund allocation and profitability assessments.
• Monitor key financial metrics, including cost of funds, revenue attribution, and performance indicators, while identifying trends and recommending strategic adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance reporting systems, automate FP&A processes, and ensure alignment with regulatory standards such as those from local monetary authorities.
• Manage a team in delivering timely, high-quality reports, including ad-hoc analyses for business units and executive reviews.
• Conduct risk assessments related to FTP models and FP&A assumptions, supporting internal audits and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM are preferred.
• At least 8 years of experience in banking or financial services, with a strong focus on management reporting, FTP, and FP&A prior leadership in a similar role is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of FTP frameworks, financial modeling, budgeting tools, and regulatory reporting under frameworks like Basel III and local banking ordinances.
• Proven analytical skills with proficiency in financial software (e.g., Excel, SQL, or BI tools like Tableau); experience in system enhancements or UAT is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with excellent communication skills to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with high attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
• Fluency in written and spoken English, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin preferred).
