About the job Developer, Middle Office Systems

Our client, a well-established investment bank, is looking to hire an IT System Developer in Hong Kong. The role will focus on middle office systems.

Job Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the bank's middle office systems, ensuring adherence to functional requirements through rigorous testing.
Create and document essential development materials, including test plans and outcomes to support system functionality.
Collaborate with first-level support teams to provide second-line assistance and work alongside other IT departments to troubleshoot technical issues, reporting insights to management.
Conduct feasibility assessments and impact analyses for potential system solutions, offering clear recommendations for business decisions.
Provide early shift support as needed to ensure seamless system operations.

Job Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proficient in C#, .NET, Excel VBA, SQL, and SSIS, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with Shell, Python, Java, ASP, Linux, Omgeo CTM, ULBridge, and Fidessa is advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in application development.
Experience in the Investment Banking or Securities Trading sectors, particularly in the development and support of trading applications, would be advantageous.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication abilities in both English and Chinese, and the capacity to work well independently and as part of a team.
