Job Description - DevOps Engineer (Global Investment firm)

My client is a leading global investment management firm known for its advanced technology-driven trading strategies and strong engineering culture. The organization is committed to building next‑generation cloud‑native platforms that support its quantitative research and trading operations. Joining this team means working in a highly collaborative environment where innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement are deeply valued.

Job Responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of CI/CD pipelines to support multiple engineering teams.
Provide hands-on support to developers, including assistance with migrating applications to Kubernetes.
Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrades of key DevOps tools and systems.
Maintain stable and reliable DEV and UAT environments throughout the software development life cycle.
Research, evaluate, and implement new technologies to improve DevOps efficiency and overall developer productivity.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative, engineering, or related technical field (preferred).
Proven experience managing DevOps workflows supporting multiple development teams.
Strong background with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or similar.
Practical experience with observability and monitoring systems like Prometheus or the ELK Stack.
Experience with cloud service providers-AWS exposure is a strong advantage.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (highly desirable).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Deep knowledge of Docker.
Ability to administer and manage both Linux and Windows servers.
Proficiency in Python scripting is considered an asset.
