Director, Coverage Banking - Major Financial Institution, Hong Kong

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced corverage banker to assume a leadership role in shaping the bank's corporate banking business in the Greater China region.

Responsibilities

This individual will be pivotal in driving business growth and profitability, managing key client relationships, and overseeing the delivery of innovative banking solutions to the bank's corporate clients. You will develop and execute the overall business strategy for the corporate banking division in alignment with the bank's global objectives and regional growth targets. This involves cultivating and deepening client relationships across segments and sectors, ensuring the bank remains a relevant and trusted advisor to clients. Leading business development efforts, you will expand the client base and on-board new to bank clients, particularly in high-growth sectors and cross-border trade. You will drive origination of corporate lending, trade finance, treasury, and structured finance solutions, collaborating with internal product partners to ensure a seamless client experience.

Requirements

The ideal candidate holds a Degree in Accountancy/Finance or related discipline and has at least 15 years of relevant experience including 5 years in a team management role. You have in depth understanding of corporate banking products and a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams, working across various jurisdictions. You will champion the development of new products and services to meet evolving client needs and explore opportunities for market expansion in Greater China, leveraging the bank's network and capabilities. Your outstanding communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring adherence to risk management, governance framework and compliance.
