Job Description
Strategic Growth: Develop and execute business development strategies to expand distribution through private banks and institutional channels.
Client Acquisition: Identify, pursue, and secure new relationships with private banking platforms, family offices, pension funds, and sovereign wealth funds.
Partnership Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with private banks to ensure product placement and ongoing engagement.
Product Distribution: Drive adoption and distribution of ETFs and alternative investment products across targeted client segments.
Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor offerings, market trends, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and positioning.
Revenue Targets: Achieve sales and asset growth targets by expanding AUM through institutional mandates and private banking distribution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, investment, and marketing teams to tailor solutions for client needs.
Client Education: Organize seminars, roadshows, and training sessions for private bankers and institutional investors on ETFs and alternatives.
Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key institutional clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular updates to senior management on pipeline development, client feedback, and performance metrics.
The Successful Applicant
Experience: Solid years in asset management, with proven track record in private banking and institutional distribution.
Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of ETFs, hedge funds, private equity, real assets, and other alternative investments.
Client Network: Established relationships with private banks, family offices, pension funds, and institutional investors in Asia and globally.
Sales Acumen: Strong ability to originate, negotiate, and close large-scale distribution deals and mandates.
Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with global and regional regulatory frameworks impacting ETFs and alternatives.
Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage senior stakeholders.
Analytical Ability: Strong financial and analytical skills to position products effectively against competitors.
Leadership: Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor junior sales or business development staff.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
Global Mindset: Multilingual skills (e.g., English, Mandarin, Cantonese) and cultural awareness to manage diverse client bases.
