About The Client
Our client is one of the quasi government bodies in Hong Kong. They promote the local cultural heritage, and is now hiring a seasoned HR & Admin Director to join as part of the management team to support with the overall development, planning and implementation of the HR & Administration function.
About The Role
- Develop 1st tier practices and programs that identify, source, assess and hire the best talents to meet changing and evolving business needs;
- Set and lead towards a vision for exceptional talent practices at all levels of the organisation to meet current and future staffing needs;
- Execute the recruitment strategy effectively ensuring the right talent is ready at the right time and influence the entire recruitment process to provide direction on talent needs;
- Understand the programmatic and operational objectives;
- Drive employee engagement in working with executive leadership to develop effective internal communications strategies, processes, tools, and training to promote morale and productivity;
- Execute talent management programs including performance management, training, total rewards, global benefits, surveys, and compensation
- Provide metrics to management to allow for better managing of teams.
- Coach and advise on a wide range of core human resource functions including organizational design, HR policies, and best practices;
- Lead the development and execution of Human Resources strategic and annual plans in alignment with the organisational goals, and mission;
- Ensure compliance with local laws and best practices in HR and administration procedures so that they are efficient, accurate, timely, and responsive;
- Responsible for HR and Administration department budget; review and negotiate HR-related contracts and agreements; and
- Oversee all matters relating to facilities and administration, including building lease, front desk, supply resource management and records function.
Requirements
- Recommended a minimum of 15 years of HR management experience in a corporate or statutory body, including experience in the development of strategic and operational HR & Administration plans and their implementation in a professional work environment over a sustained period of time.
- Demonstrated credibility with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese
- Strong interpersonal skills communicating with Council / Board Executive members
- Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise and motivate qualified professional staff with strong personal value systems
- Analytical, decision making and strategic planning skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Ability to coach, mentor, delegate appropriately and provide developmental guidance to supervised staff
- Team building skills
- Competent level skills in core IT applications, particularly MS Office
- High level of commitment to the principles of development and to the organisational and programmatic goals of the organisation.
