Job Description - EDD/AML Specialist (40-60K), Foreign Corp Bank

Your new role

Perform comprehensive Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews on high-risk customers.
Assess and approve EDD cases, ensuring accurate risk rating and proper documentation in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
Conduct in-depth research using internal systems and external sources (e.g., public records, adverse media, third-party databases).
Leverage a wide range of external intelligence sources, including open-source research, third-party vendors, public records, and media reports, to support risk assessments.
Proactively coordinate with account officers to obtain and validate required documentation, ensuring completeness and compliance.
Evaluate third-party screening results related to identity verification, sanctions, government watchlists, and closed for cause" findings.
Conduct in-depth investigative research to uncover potential risks and suspicious activities.
Escalate complex or high-risk issues to appropriate stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.

What you'll need to succeed

Require 4-7+ years of experience in CDD/EDD/AML in Banking. Banking experience is a must.
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
Proven experience conducting financial crime investigations and transaction monitoring.
Highly organised with strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
