Job Description - Engineer - Communication Based Train Control (CBTC)

Responsibilities

Report to project director/manager and system manager for railway projects
Support project on documentation/drawings, meeting minutes, reports
Coordinate design, installation, testing and commissioning with both internal and external parties such as team members, customers, signaling interface contractors, suppliers and subcontractors
Conduct technical meetings related to signaling scope with customer, suppliers and subcontractors, where appropriate, and deliver results and reports for the meetings
Conduct and report the onsite installation and commissioning activities, overnight works on-site may be necessary
Coordinate with internal support teams such as Quality, Safety, System Assurance, and Commercial
Site coordination and supervision of subcontractors will be required
Support site installation, test and commissioning work

Requirements:
Individuals who meet the following requirements or possess the equivalent combination of competence and experience are invited to apply:

- Degree qualified in electrical/electronic engineering or its equivalent
- Experience in large scale infrastructure or railway projects
- Knowledge and experience in signaling projects
- Good command of written English, Cantonese/Mandarin
- Able to work in complex environment, overtime and under pressure
- Standby and overnight works is required following project schedule
- Preferable with knowledge in Automatic train supervision, Unix and networking
