Our client is a leading organisation dedicated to delivering innovative technology solutions. They foster a collaborative and forward-thinking culture, emphasizing strategic alignment and technological excellence. The organisation is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define and govern enterprise architecture strategies that support business transformation efforts, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote scalable, secure, and future-ready systems. This role is pivotal in guiding system design, cloud adoption, data frameworks, and emerging AI capabilities, working closely with delivery teams and vendors to uphold architecture standards across the organisation.

Role Overview:
The Enterprise Architect will develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements. They will lead solution design, oversee standards and governance, promote cloud and AI adoption, and provide strategic guidance on integration, data, security, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Minimum of 10+ years' experience in enterprise or solution architecture roles
• Proven ability to define architecture strategy and oversee large-scale implementations
• Strong background in insurance industries preferred
• Extensive experience in enterprise architecture governance, microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems
• Knowledge of non-functional requirements and architecture standards

Key Responsibilities:
• Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategy aligned with digital transformation initiatives
• Provide design authority and approval for major solution architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security
• Establish and enforce architecture standards across applications, integration, cloud, and AI solutions
• Drive adoption of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD, DevSecOps, and AI-enabled development tools
• Oversee data architecture, models, migration, and governance frameworks suitable for AI use cases
• Embed security-by-design principles, ensuring compliance with data privacy, PCI DSS, and security policies
• Collaborate with business, IT, and leadership to align architecture with organisational priorities, engaging with vendors and solution providers
• Monitor architecture compliance throughout project delivery, managing risks, dependencies, and deviations

Required Skills & Experience:
• Architecture governance experience with microservices, API-first, and event-driven systems
• Strong understanding of non-functional requirements
• Programming and development knowledge in Java (Spring Boot/Cloud), JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js, React/Angular), Python, and SQL/PL-SQL
• Extensive experience with AWS cloud architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevSecOps practices
• Expertise in API gateways, Kafka, MuleSoft, data modeling, migration, and governance
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor.ai) and AI solution integration
• Knowledge of IAM platforms like Okta, OAuth2, SAML, along with PCI DSS and data privacy standards

Preferred Certifications:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)
• TOGAF® or equivalent enterprise architecture certification
• Additional certifications like CKA, PMP, PRINCE2, CISSP, or CISM are advantageous

Candidates must possess strong leadership skills, stakeholder engagement abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a hybrid environment on-site. Prior experience within group or regional architecture teams will be highly regarded.
