Environmental Officer

China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) is incorporated in the People's Republic of China as a State-owned Enterprise headquartered in Beijing with major construction activities throughout Asia, Middle East and Africa and the Hong Kong Branch was established in 1988, since then, CCECC has been an active participant in the territory's construction industry.

Currently, CCECC approved by the Works Bureau, to be on the List of Approved Contractors (Group C) for Public Works in the four major categories of building and civil engineering works, namely, “Buildings”, “Roads and Drainage”, “Site Formation” and “Waterworks”. In providing quality services to our clients, we have been implementing a series of international standardized management system including ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

Responsibilities: 

• To ensure the compliance of environmental related regulations and contract requirements of the project
• To advise, implement, supervise and maintain environmental mitigation measures on site
• To advise and promote environmental awareness
• Arrange and provide environmental training to site personnel;
• Support internal and external system audits and attend environmental-relating meetings, site inspections and risk assessment;

Requirements:

• A corporate member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) in Environmental Discipline or equivalent; or a corporate member of a professional institution(e.g. HKIE other than in the Environmental Discipline, or Hong Kong Institute of Architects or the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors etc.)
• Having at least 3 years of experience in environmental management, monitoring and auditing of construction activities.
• AND in possession of a diploma or above in environmental studies or environmental engineering awarded by a local or overseas tertiary education institution.
• Mature and possess good communication skills. Familiar with MS office, such as Microsoft Word, Powerpoint.
• Good Chinese and English correspondence writing
