Equity Finance Trader, Associate / Vice President

We are looking for an Associate or Vice President for an Equity Finance Desk. This person would assist the team in covering businesses of swap transactions and business, stock lending and borrowing, funding/ financing activities, with a particular focus on execution across Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Korea markets. This position is based in Hong Kong and the role responsibilities and requirements are:

• Execute equity swap trades on behalf of clients, ensuring accuracy and complying internal and external policy/regulation, including hands-on execution across HK, Taiwan, and Korea markets.

• Monitor market conditions and identify trading opportunities in equity finance products, with awareness of market dynamics in North Asia (HK/TW/KR).

• Manage stock borrow and loan activities for equity finance transactions, including inventory sourcing and utilization across HK, Taiwan, and Korea markets.

• Manage equity/FX risk book and maintain accurate records of all transactions. Collaborate and create synergies of leveraging firm products with internal teams.

• Uphold a strong risk management mindset and ensure adherence to regulatory and internal frameworks, including market-specific requirements in HK, Taiwan, and Korea

Role Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.

• 5-10 years of experience in SBL, Swap, or Cash Equities Trading (Execution) across Asian markets such as Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, with proven execution track record and familiarity with HK/TW/KR market microstructure strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of equity markets, financing products, and collateral management, including knowledge of trading practices and settlement in HK, Taiwan, and Korea.

• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with trading/settlement systems.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Fluent in English; proficiency in Mandarin/Cantonese/ Japanese is a plus.

• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functions.
