Job Description - ESG, Energy Transition, VP

Overview:
We are seeking a Vice President, Energy Transition Manager to join our Sustainable Finance team. This role is designed for a subject matter expert in built environment sustainability, energy transition, electrification, and Scope 3 decarbonisation.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in advising or supporting companies in heavy industries (oil & gas, aviation, manufacturing, shipping) on their journey toward sustainability. Candidates may come from either financial institutions (investment, asset management, etc.) or non-financial backgrounds. We value hands-on energy transition experience.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead and support sustainable finance initiatives focused on energy transition and decarbonisation strategies.
Provide subject matter expertise to clients and internal teams on electrification, Scope 3 emissions reduction, and industrial sustainability pathways.
Partner with companies in heavy industries to design and implement practical transition plans aligned with global climate goals.
Collaborate with investment and product teams to structure innovative financing solutions that accelerate sustainability outcomes.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies in energy transition and sustainable infrastructure.
Represent the Sustainable Finance team in external forums, client engagements, and thought leadership activities.

Requirements:

Proven expertise in energy transition, sustainability strategy, or industrial decarbonisation.
Experience advising or working with heavy industry sectors (oil & gas, aviation, shipping, manufacturing).
Strong understanding of Scope 3 emissions, electrification, and built environment sustainability.
Open background from financial institutions (investment, asset management, advisory) or non-financial sectors (consulting, industry).
Ability to translate technical sustainability concepts into finance-driven solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of influencing senior decision-makers.
