Position: Execution Trader

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Execution Trader with a background in Foreign Exchange (FX) and Macro asset classes to join our multi-strategy investment team. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to deepen their exposure to Asia-focused macro trading. The ideal candidate will pick up trading for the Fundamental Equities investment team as well to broaden his/her experience as a multi-asset trader. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Portfolio Managers (PMs) by delivering best-in-class execution and contributing to alpha generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute trades across a diverse set of asset classes, with a focus on:
  • Foreign Exchange (G10 and EM Asia)
  • Interest Rates and Sovereign Bonds
  • Macro Futures & Options
  • Commodities and related derivatives
  • Equities
• Coordinate closely with PMs and analysts to implement and refine execution strategies.
• Actively monitor market conditions and provide relevant, timely market color and event-driven insights.
• Ensure trades are executed in line with regulatory, operational, and compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with sell-side brokers, banks, and liquidity providers.
• Support execution processes in both high-touch and low-touch environments, including voice and algorithmic trading.
• Contribute to post-trade analysis, TCA, and performance reviews to continuously improve execution quality.

Key Requirements

• 3–5 years of execution experience within macro, FX, or rates trading environments, ideally at a hedge fund, proprietary trading desk, or bank.
• Strong familiarity with Asia-Pacific FX and macro markets (including local regulations and trading nuances).
• Demonstrated understanding of macroeconomic drivers and how they impact global and regional markets.
• Proven ability to manage risk and make time-sensitive trading decisions under pressure.
• Solid network across sell-side dealers and liquidity providers, particularly in FX and rates.
• Experience with execution management systems (EMS); familiarity with FlexTrade (FlexTRADER) is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working with data, analytics, and basic scripting tools; Python proficiency is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional Asian language skills are beneficial.
• SFC Type 1 license required; Type 2 is a plus (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting macro-focused strategies, including carry, RV, and tactical trades.
• Background in helping optimize execution across automated and discretionary workflows.
• Exposure to TCA tools and an understanding of execution cost modeling.
