Execution Trader

A global Asset Management Fund is seeking an experienced Execution Trader to join its Hong Kong office. This role focuses on intraday trading across China equities and derivatives, with additional exposure to swaps, futures, fixed income, and ETFs.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute intraday trading strategies
  Support mid‑frequency intraday execution across China equities, derivatives, swaps, and futures.
• Own and maintain P&L and position reporting
  Ensure accurate intra‑day and end‑of‑day P&L and positions; investigate discrepancies and drive corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitor market flow & trade activity
  Track live market conditions, manage orders in real time, and ensure optimal execution quality.
• Resolve operational and trade issues
  Work with traders, risk, tech, and operations teams to address trade breaks, booking issues, and lifecycle discrepancies.
• Collaborate across teams
  Partner with trading, quant, risk, and technology teams to support daily desk activities and implement process improvements.

Key Requirements

• 3-8 years of experience as an Execution Trader or Trade Support within a hedge fund, quant fund, proprietary trading firm, or sell side global markets environment.
• Strong product knowledge in China equities, derivatives, swaps, and futures; exposure to fixed income and ETFs is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of trade lifecycle, market microstructure, and P&L concepts.
• Proficiency in VBA, Python or SQL for automation (must‑have).
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under time‑sensitive trading conditions.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of ownership.
• Fluency in Both English and Chinese.
