Execution Trader (Hedge Fund)

China Alpha Fund Management (HK) Limited is a fast growing and experienced investment advisory and asset management company in Hong Kong. As a Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission licensed corporation (Type 4 & Type 9), we are the investment adviser to some leading Greater China equity focus hedge funds.

Title: Execution Trader

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with portfolio managers to execute equities and derivatives trades (mainly Hong Kong, China and US markets) for funds;
2. Execute trade orders in an accurate, timely and effective manner. Take into account of market order flows, market directions, liquidities, transaction costs, opportunity costs and portfolio risk;
3. Assist portfolio managers to monitor positions, P&L and market risks;
4. Give timely alert to portfolio managers on good trading opportunities, market risks or abnormal moving stocks;
5. Carry out ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

1. Degree or above in Finance, Economics or related discipline;
2. 2 to 5 years’ trading experience in Hong Kong and China A-Share markets and other investment instruments, experience in US market trading is a plus;
3. Familiar with hedge fund operations;
4. Proficiency with Bloomberg and other electronic trading tools;
5. Excellent skill with Excel spreadsheet (including VBAs);
6. Deep understanding of market microstructure and be sensitive to macro dynamics and market volatilities;
7. Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment;
8. Detail-oriented, self-motivated and strong analytical skills;
9. Excellent communication skills, self-starter, quick learner with positive attitude;
10. Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin).
