Job Description
Execute equity and related securities trades across global markets with a focus on U.S. market hours.
Work closely with Portfolio Managers and Investment Analysts to implement investment decisions efficiently.
Monitor market developments, trading flows, liquidity conditions, and execution quality.
Maintain relationships with brokers, counterparties, and market participants to ensure optimal trade execution.
Ensure all trades are executed in accordance with internal policies, investment guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Perform trade allocation, trade matching, and resolve settlement-related issues when required.
Monitor portfolio positions and identify any trading or operational risks.
Provide market colour and execution feedback to investment teams.
Assist in developing and enhancing trading processes, workflows, and best execution practices.
Support ad-hoc trading, operational, and investment-related projects as assigned.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Approximately 3-5 years of buy-side execution trading experience, preferably gained from an asset manager, hedge fund, family office, or institutional investment firm.
Strong knowledge of global equity markets, market microstructure, and trading practices.
Experience executing U.S. equities and other listed securities preferred.
Familiarity with Bloomberg, EMS/OMS platforms, and trading systems.
Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, settlement processes, and operational controls.
Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently during evening hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience trading U.S. and international equities for institutional portfolios.
Exposure to hedge funds, long-only asset managers, family offices, or multi-asset investment platforms.
Knowledge of compliance and best execution requirements within a regulated investment management environment.
