Job Description - Fianancial Accounting Manager (Taxation)

Responsibilities

Prepare and review Hong Kong Profits Tax returns and tax provisions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
Handle deferred tax accounting, including proper recognition, calculation, and financial disclosure
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors to provide technical guidance and practical tax solutions
Lead research and execution on international tax compliance matters, including Pillar Two, Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), and Transfer Pricing documentation
Review, enhance, and implement financial policies, internal controls, and procedures in line with evolving accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and Head Office guidelines
Participate in system enhancement initiatives and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) projects
Support ad hoc assignments and projects as required by management

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related disciplines
Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in taxation and/or financial accounting within the banking industry
Solid knowledge of Hong Kong tax regulations and financial reporting standards
Proficient in MS Office applications (especially Excel); familiarity with SAP and Chinese word processing is an advantage
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines
Self-motivated with good analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Mandarin
