Job Description - Finance Manager, Start-Up (HK$ 40K)

Your new role

Coordinate with external bookkeeping and audit partners to deliver accurate and timely monthly accounts and annual financial statements
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate accounting records are maintained in the accounting system
Track weekly cash flow and prepare rolling 12-month forecasts to support financial planning
Manage and reconcile P&L forecasts, providing analysis and insights into financial performance
Carry out cost analysis to identify inefficiencies and implement cost optimisation measures
Monitor invoicing and collections to maintain strong cash flow and ensure timely receipt of payments
Ensure full compliance with corporate, legal, and tax requirements, including statutory filings and tax documentation

What you'll need to succeed

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
5-8 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a fast-paced or SME environment
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cash flow management, and budgeting/forecasting
Hands-on experience with accounting systems (e.g., Xero, Odoo, Peachtree) and strong Excel skills
Solid understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit processes
Proven ability to manage external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and service providers
Strong analytical mindset with experience in cost control, financial analysis, and process improvement
Detail-oriented, well-organised, and able to meet tight deadlines independently.
Good communication skills in English and ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
