Finance & Operations Officer - Global Investment Manager

Our client, an international asset manager, is looking for an Accounting & Operations Officer to support for the Hong Kong and Japan entities. This role also works closely with our US, UK and China offices to ensure accuracy in Intercompany transactions. Junior candidates from Audit / Fund Admin / Accounting related backgrounds are welcome.

Job Duties:

Finance:

• Perform daily finance and accounting functions, including preparing regular regulatory filings, management reports (e.g., financial analysis, annual budget, cost analysis), and assisting with audit and tax filings
• Facilitate intercompany transactions and communication with group companies
• Manage client invoicing processes

Operations:

• Reconcile positions with custodian and client records
• Oversee NAV differentials management and error controls
• Manage portfolio expenses and perform reconciliations
• Set up new portfolios, mandates, and funds
• Handle portfolio reporting, fee accrual, booking, and reconciliation
• Update pricing of individual securities
• Promptly respond to queries from internal teams and provide solutions to issues encountered
• Responsibilities for trade capture and settlement, including communication with traders, brokers, and custodians
• Escalate any potential settlement problems to immediate supervisor
• Obtain corporate actions information from different sources and maintain accurate and timely records

Required experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is preferred, but not mandatory; the company offers support for candidates interested in obtaining the CPA certification
• 1-5 years of work experience in audit / accounting / fund admin fields 
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven team player
• Experience in using Bloomberg AIM, Bloomberg PORT, and/or SimCorp is desirable, but not mandatory
• Meticulous attention to detail
