Job title: Financial & Regulatory Reporting


Corporate title: Vice President

Role description:



  • Financial and Regulatory reporting role within the Financial Control Division


 


Responsibilities:



  • Review and supervise monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for Hong Kong and China entities, covering both Local (IFRS) and Group (US GAAP) accounts

  • Manage monthly FRR regulatory reporting to SFC

  • Review and implement new accounting standards covering US GAAP and IFRS

  • Review and approve new product requests from an accounting and regulatory perspective

  • Apply expert knowledge in consolidations

  • Maintain and enhance the control and governance framework while leading improvements of process and control efficiencies, digital transformation initiatives and AI-driven automation

  • Manage onshore financial reporting team, and offshore teams from in-house service provider in India

  • Support annual budgeting processes

  • Manage and drive HK and AEJ regional project initiatives

  • Manage internal and external audit engagements


 


Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:



  • Minimum Degree from an accredited University and Qualified Accountant (CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent)

  • Minimum 12 years relevant financial and management accounting working experience, preferably with Banks, Financial Institutions, including experience with Big Four Audit Firms

  • Strong accounting knowledge in both US GAAP and IFRS reporting, including consolidations

  • Track record in addressing and resolving issues independently, attention to details with strong quantitative and analytical capability, and maintain a strong can-do attitude

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills with ability to handle difficult situations; proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in high-pressure environments

  • Understanding of and/or previous experience completing HK SFC FRR returns

  • Power user of Excel and PowerPoint, with experience and knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) advantageous
