This role involves managing and developing a diversified portfolio of financial lines products, with an emphasis on D&O and Financial Institutions. The successful candidate will combine deep underwriting knowledge with relationship management skills, playing a key part in supporting the company's strategic goals.

Role Overview:
This position is responsible for underwriting and overseeing a portfolio of Financial Lines business, including both new and renewal accounts. The role involves assessing complex corporate risks, building broker relationships, and contributing to the team's overall success by balancing growth and profitability.

Key Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 6 years of Financial Lines underwriting experience
• Strong technical knowledge across financial lines products, with expertise in D&O/FI advantageous
• Proven ability to manage broker relationships and mid-to-large market accounts
• Commercial mindset with negotiation and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently at a senior level within a team
• Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related discipline preferred
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese

Key Responsibilities:
• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of Financial Lines business, including new and renewal accounts
• Assess complex risks related to financial performance, governance, and industry exposures
• Build and maintain strong broker relationships to ensure consistent deal flow and long-term partnerships
• Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing aligned with underwriting guidelines and strategy
• Provide clear underwriting rationale and maintain high standards of documentation
• Take ownership of portfolio performance, ensuring a balance of growth, profitability, and risk management
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging risks to inform underwriting decisions
• Support junior team members and contribute to team development
• Represent the organisation in broker meetings, client discussions, and market-facing activities

Requirements:
• At least 6 years of Financial Lines underwriting experience
• Strong technical knowledge in financial lines, particularly D&O/FI is a plus
• Experience managing broker relationships for mid-to-large market accounts
• Ability to operate independently and contribute at a senior level
• Degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Eligible to work on-site in the designated location within Asia
