Fixed Income/Bond Trader (AVP/VP)

Position Summary

This role is for an experienced Fixed Income Trader at the AVP/VP level. The successful candidate will be integral to our trading operations, focusing on market-making, client servicing, and disciplined risk management within the fixed income arena.

Responsibilities

• Manage trading book risk exposures and ensure all activities adhere to internal policies, trading limits, and legal/compliance regulations.
• Engage in market-making activities within the secondary bond market, providing cash bond quotes and enhancing market liquidity for clients.
• Deliver competitive pricing and execution for client transactions involving foreign exchange and interest rate products.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team on market developments and jointly pursue new business opportunities.
• Participate proactively in trading to generate profitable outcomes; regularly prepare and submit reports on trading performance and market conditions.
• Such other duties as shall from time to time be directed by your superiors.

Professional Skills & Qualifications

• Must possess or be immediately eligible to apply for SFC RA1 and RA4 licenses.
• Minimum of 5 years’ direct experience in fixed income trading.
• Solid analytical aptitude and advanced computer proficiency, with proven experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• University degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin is a key requirement).
• Thorough understanding of financial market products and relevant regulatory compliance standards.
