Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Finance team. This role will be based in Hong Kong.
We will count on you to:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentation to the APAC CEO and business leaders. Provide analysis of monthly results and explanation of key variances (vs forecast, vs budget, vs prior year) with key insights into trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure data accuracy including synchronizing of various data sets between the reporting and planning environments and reconciling any differences to resolve data/ reporting issues.
- Work closely with cross-function teams including controllership and client service support to gather data, validate information, and support organizational initiatives.
- Consolidate forecasts from country inputs and rollover results into forecast.
- Assist in the system input as well as conduct checks to ensure completeness.
- Support and actively contribute to process change/improvement and standardization initiatives with the team.
- Coach and develop FPA analyst, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, business or economics.
- Minimum 7 years working experience in a multinational company performing financial analysis and management reporting.
- A good understanding of databases/ data warehouses and financial applications.
- Organized, comfortable working with large data sets across multiple sources.
- Analytical and systematic with good problem-solving skills.
- Must be hands-on during the month-end closing processes.
- A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office specially Excel (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and PowerBI.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English and Cantonese/ Mandarin.
- Prior experience in finance or insurance industry and exposure to regional markets including Greater China, South East Asia Japan and Australia is preferred
