Global Semiconductor Senior Equity Research Analyst

This role focuses on the global semiconductor industry with dedicated coverage of the China semiconductor supply chain. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise, financial acumen, and macroeconomic awareness to deliver actionable investment insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth equity analysis on semiconductor firms.
• Track and interpret sector-specific developments, including advancements in chip architecture, supply chain shifts, demand cycles across key end markets (consumer tech, automotive, AI), and geopolitical influences.
• Build and update robust financial models, conduct valuation exercises (including DCF and comparative multiples), and prepare earnings projections under various scenarios.
• Formulate actionable investment recommendations by consolidating insights from primary sources such as executive interviews, industry events, and expert briefings into well-structured investment narratives.
• Deliver comprehensive research outputs, including thematic industry papers, quarterly earnings outlooks, and detailed company reports for portfolio decision-making.
• Deliver forward-looking analysis on chip design innovation, supply chain dynamics, consumer electronics, automotive, AI).
• Maintain awareness of cutting-edge technologies such as EUV lithography, advanced packaging (3D stacking), and AI-driven chip design and evaluate their implications for company valuations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in the semiconductor sector within equity research (sell-side or buy-side).
• Exceptional proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques, with a proven track record of accurate forecasting and building complex financial models.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor technology and end-market drivers across segments such as memory, foundry, fabless, and equipment.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin and English, with the ability to clearly deliver insights and recommendations.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of interpreting broad industry data and translating it into precise investment logic.
