Head of Acquisition and Mortgage Sales Reporting to the Head of Retail Distribution, the Head of Acquisition and Mortgage Sales is responsible for (i) leading the in-branch General Banking Officer (GBO) sales channel to drive product and client acquisition through face-to-face activities and related operational support, and (ii) leading mortgage sales strategy and execution through mobile sales and partner channels. The role delivers the financial performance targets by growing new-to-bank and existing customer value, strengthening mortgage market position, and ensuring strong customer outcomes, service standards, operational integrity and regulatory compliance. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Head of Acquisition and Mortgage Sales. Principal responsibilities
Grow mortgage business through clear sales strategy, resource allocation, and strong execution via mobile sales and partner channels (developers/property agencies), supported by effective branch referrals.
Lead the in-branch GBO sales channel on product and client acquisition, overseeing face-to-face activities and related operational support to deliver the financial performance targets.
Drive growth in Retail Banking and Wealth Business through cross-sell and acquisition to incoming branch traffic and outreach activities (e.g., New-to-Bank, client upgrade, deposits, mortgages, credit cards, insurance).
Manage small scale sales & service outlets (e.g., B0 branches, MTR sites) to deliver strong service and operations, and implement plans to capture sales opportunities and optimise cost/income
Establish close relationship with branded developers, property agencies to facilitate sales development at working level
Initiate measures to solicit maximum support from product teams and business units in Retail Banking and Wealth to deliver sales, service and operational outcomes
Build a high-performance, high-care culture across the GBO acquisition and mortgage sales teams.
Establish and maintain a robust and efficient control environment to ensure good operational, financial and project management and compliance with group policy and procedures
Requirements
Multi-product complexity across transactional banking, mortgages and wealth; balancing service and sales demands in-branch
Adapting to changes in economic environment and mortgage market dynamics
Strong people leadership and ownership to lead high -performing/high-care sales teams, drive business performance and establish strategic business partnerships.
Strong stakeholder collaboration to build rapport and synergies
University degree in Finance or related disciplines.
High level of customer centricity mindset with dedication to deliver exceptional quality services for customers
