Head of ETF Capital Markets (Asset Management)

A leading Asian based investment management firm is expanding its ETF business and seeks an experienced professional to spearhead regional capital markets initiatives. This is a senior opportunity for a hands-on leader who can shape strategy, strengthen market connectivity, and enhance the overall ETF trading ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive ETF growth by identifying liquidity opportunities and improving execution quality across primary and secondary markets.
2. Build and scale a high-performing, well-connected ETF capital markets function in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
3. Deepen partnerships with authorized participants, market makers, liquidity providers, exchanges, and alternative trading venues to improve market resiliency and breadth.
4. Oversee onboarding of new trading partners and facilitate effective engagement to support product expansion.
5. Monitor and analyze trading flows, spreads, baskets, premiums/discounts, and liquidity trends to inform decision-making and strengthen commercial outcomes.
6. Deliver actionable trading insights, pre-trade analysis, and execution guidance to institutional investors and internal distribution teams.
7. Partner with investment, product, and sales teams to support ETF positioning, adoption, and regional business development.
8. Lead trading, pricing, and liquidity resolution processes while ensuring seamless coordination around new fund launches and seed capital management.
9. Oversee lifecycle management including creation/redemption processes, market-making structures, and trading quality controls.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced credentials such as CFA or equivalent preferred.
2. At least 10+ years of experience in ETF capital markets, trading, or liquidity strategy roles.
3. Strong technical understanding of ETF mechanics, operations workflow, pricing, and market structure.
4. Proven ability to set vision and drive execution through leading high-performing teams.
5. Demonstrated success in improving market quality and delivering commercial results for ETF platforms.
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
7. English andMandarin fluency is essential for this role
