Head of FICC, Leading Chinese Securities House

Our client is a leading and well-established Chinese investment bank with a strong footprint in Hong Kong and across Greater China. Renowned for its robust platform and comprehensive financial services, they are now seeking an experienced and strategic leader to head their FICC division in Hong Kong.

This is a key leadership role reporting directly to top management, where you will be responsible for driving the FICC business forward in a dynamic and competitive market. You will lead a team of sales and trading professionals, and play a pivotal role in shaping the division’s strategy, performance, and growth.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the FICC business strategy in line with the firm’s overall objectives, identifying market opportunities and optimizing business performance.
• Formulate and oversee fixed income and bond investment strategies, ensuring alignment with the firm’s risk appetite and return targets.
• Lead the team in managing relationships with institutional, corporate, and high-net-worth clients to achieve business targets.
• Coordinate across front-to-back functions including investment decision-making, trade execution, and risk control to ensure seamless operations.
• Oversee liquidity management, monitor funding positions, and maximize returns on idle capital while maintaining sufficient liquidity for daily operations.
• Handle other duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the financial industry, with substantial exposure to fixed income trading, sales, or management. Prior leadership experience in a similar capacity is highly preferred.
• Strong market acumen and an established network in the FICC space, with the ability to adapt strategies to evolving market conditions.
• Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin is a MUST).
